Vertical Drilling Systems

Starting from demands of the coal mining industry at the end of the 1970´s to drill exact vertical boreholes as pilot holes for blind shafts, Smart Drilling has developed and manufactured directional drilling systems for more tham 20 years.
The autonomous directional drilling systems ZBE 2000, ZBE 3000, ZBE 4000 and ZBE 5000 (ZBE = Zielbohreinheit) are usable for vertical drilling projects. The data transmission is carried out via pressure pulse technology or EM.
The ZBE systems are available in four standard diameters.

Rotary Steerable Systems

The directional drilling system SCOUT 2000, a "closed-loop" RSS, has especially been developed for the oil and gas industry.

The SCOUT 2000 can be used for 6 inch well bores. The know-how won till now also makes an expansion of this system for greater drilling bores possible.
A system-integrated electronic fit for 125 °C has been developed especially for the recording and processing of navigational and system data .
The system is designed to permit surface downlinking of drilling target changes and also allows for reprogramming of downhole data sequencing if required.
